Dark, dingy, dirty, dump are just a few of the words that come to mind that describe my pyramid room. Internet did not work, TV did not work, and the room was in poor repair overall. Fixtures in the bathroom were chipped and dirty looking. The bathroom sink was cracked and the shower was so worn it looked dirty after it was cleaned. Contacted management about the TV and Internet at 8AM and at 8PM they still were not fixed. Called again and was told someone would be there within one hour. Called back and requested a different room. They moved us to a tower room which was better but the internet connection, wired not wireless, never did work. The hotel technician told me it was my computer but the shop told me all was in order with my machine. Luckily the IHOP down the street has free WIFI. To add insult to injury the hotel also charges $* per day to cover "Any room service, spa, pay per view, or other possible charges." If you don't use them the charges are credited back 3 to 5 days after checkout. My wife did not feel safe to go out of the room by herself after 9PM. Never saw any security officers on the floor and few security cameras in the pyramid room area. Guess they spent all of their security budget in the casino. Save yourself some aggravation by staying somewhere else.

I found the room to be a nice size and comfortable. The furnishings were very nice and not too old. The staff that I came in contact with were very pleasant and helpful. It offered the express check-out which was wonderful.

First impression was wow… Then after we got the first room it was oh no! The room that we first got was terrible it smell like sewer and had a view of a wall. So if you don’t want to see a wall from your window or the smell sewer ask not to get the left side of the hotel or at least the first 10 to 12 floors. After I called front desk and asked to be moved due to the smell they right away moved me to the front of the hotel on the 13th floor which was a lot better. We had the view of the strip and everything was fine. Over all our stay at the Luxor was good on a scale from 1 to 10 10 being the best I would give it a 7.

Never Again

We were on the 9th floor of the Luxor. The A/C did not blow. No A/c on in the hall ways. Hot...Toe nail clippings on the floor from the people previously there. Gross. No towels in the room. Called for house keeping. No one came. Then 20 mins after I called I opened up the door where there was a maid cleaning the room next room and asked for a towel. She told me NO. No towels today was her Monday and if there were no towels that is not her fault. No towels for us??? Then I bent down to get one off of her cart and she threw one at me and told me you get only one today. No more.... WOW... Called the front desk to complain. I have to say I will not be going back to the Luxor. Not impressed at all.
